Audiovisual

More and more people choose to watch programs, TV series, and movies in the original language to help them learn languages, which is great. But let's not forget that Italian dubbing is among the finest in the world (and much envied!).

My services for the audiovisual market
  • Translation for dubbing

If you're a dubbing studio looking for a translator for scripts for your materials to adapt them for dubbing, I can help! I have translated travel and food and wine programs, reality shows, entertainment programs, and many kinds of documentaries. Translating for dubbing is really stimulating and rewarding. We both win: you'll get a script ready to be adapted for dubbing while I learn a lot from the material I'm given. Plus, I get the satisfaction of hearing my words on the final production on TV!

  • Subtitles

And then there are subtitles. If you have a business that uses videos in English and Spanish for promotion and you want to add subtitles to make them understood by potential Italian customers too, get in touch! I use subtitling programs to help you adapt your videos to your entire audience quickly and smoothly, so your message can get out without having to dub and record audio in Italian! Subtitles have become very common and are a great way to communicate to foreign audiences, using your own voice and style, but with a little written help for the viewers.

  • Transcription

This service can be done in two ways.
It can be a "cousin "to subtitling that involves subtitling the video in the same language as the audio (Italian in my case).
Or it can be a more standard transcription, not in the form of subtitles but of standard text from audio or video media, or just a text document like a script.

If you need a language service in this field, go ahead and write me, tell me what you do and what you need. We'll put your texts on the right road and map out how we will work together.

My clients

I learned about the field by taking a master program in audiovisual translation. I studied in depth to learn and understand all the requirements of this kind of translation. I have worked for years with Italian dubbing studios, handling their scripts for many different products. I have worked for large companies in many industries translating subtitles, including technology, tourism, social media, and food and wine, as well as with some independent producers.

Still have questions?

I'll try to answer them

Do you also take offer dubbing and voice-over service?

No. This is a completely different service, but I understand the confusion!
My translation service for dubbing "just" involves the translation of scripts for dubbing. This means that I will be able to watch the video and will have the script in the original language, and I will deliver the translated script, organized following your studio's requirements. Only after translation, the script will go on to adaptation and the dubbing studio, where dubbing professionals will dub the audiovisual product in Italian using my script.

How much do your audiovisual translation services cost?

The cost for translating dubbing scripts is calculated by reel, which is 10 minutes of video. The transcription and subtitle costs are calculated per minute of video. As for my other services, many factors must also be taken into consideration, which means the price varies accordingly.
Drop me a line and tell me about the material you need translated so I can give you an exact quote!

I'm a translator from English and Spanish to Italian. I find the perfect words to recreate my clients' texts in my language, carefully choosing the right words to fit their style, their message, and their goals.
