Tourism

I love putting on my backpack and hitting the road, plus I collect tourist guides. This passion has been key in my work. I bring all my travel experience to your travel texts, boosted by my linguistic and stylistic skills.

What do you get out of this? Engaging texts whose words make the readers want to jump on a plane and take off!

In this area, I can translate your tourist guides, articles, blogs, newsletters, materials for hotels, accommodation and restaurants, reviews, museum documents and information, travel programs, tourist itineraries, promotional videos, and anything else your audience of travelers needs.

There are many correlated industries to tourism, such as food and wine, history, and lifestyle. Don't worry if your texts have a lot of technical information about a city, the geopolitical history of a country, particular activities, or specific cultural aspects or descriptions of local dishes. I'll help you recreate them to their best effect in Italian!

My services for the tourism industry

This field is so broad and multi-faceted that any of my language services could be useful here. Over my years of experience, I have:

  • translated many tourist texts by companies in this industry
  • subtitled videos for travel bloggers and tour operators
  • translated websites for airlines and agencies
  • translated and edited travel newsletters
  • translated an app of tourist itineraries and travel tips

And much, much more.

If you need a language service in this field, go ahead and write me, tell me what you do and what you need. We'll put your texts on the right road and map out how we will work together.

My clients

I've worked with a great diversity of clients in this field, from major companies and international tour operators to small agencies and travel bloggers. They include tour operators, travel apps, major airlines, a lot of travel documentaries, and much more.

It's an amazing, ever-changing industry. I can't wait to find out how I can help you!

Still have questions?

I'll try to answer them

Why do you specify your specializations on your site? Can't you translate everything?

Every professional translator specializes in specific areas. Specializations come out of our studies, experience, ongoing training, and personal interests. This lets us translate better because knowing in depth a text's topic, terminology, and style is key for a successful result.
Maybe this comparison is a stretch, but it's a bit like doctors. Would you allow a neurosurgeon to operate on your heart?

It's the same idea for translators. Some of my colleagues specialize in completely different fields from mine, such as the legal sector, and have no experience in creative texts, whereas I work in creative industries and don't translate contracts or notarial deeds.
The fundamental training is the same and then everyone takes their own path. Choosing specializations allows us to focus more closely on certain areas and ensure our clients optimal expertise.

If I have glossaries or guidelines, can you use them?

Yes, definitely! Any materials that improve the final results are welcome here! If you have specific requirements, exact terminology, reference material, translation memos, or guidelines of any kind, I would be happy to use them as I work.

I would like to both translate my tourism texts and revise their structure to adapt the contents to the Italian public. Can you help me?

Absolutely! As you may have read above, this area is one of my specializations and one of my great passions. Having used tourism texts myself to plan my trips and learn about my destinations has given me a deeper understanding of the needs and interests that all travelers share.
Adapting texts is a key part of my services for the tourism industry. I'd be more than happy to help you with that too!

I'm a translator from English and Spanish to Italian. I find the perfect words to recreate my clients' texts in my language, carefully choosing the right words to fit their style, their message, and their goals.
